ASCOMP GmbH is a technology development company specialized in the simulation of industrial fluid dynamics and heat & mass transfer. We help our clients gain competitive advantage with our innovative computer-based simulation tools (e.g. refine the design of their fluid systems). The founders
Georges Yadigaroglu is President of ASCOMP GmbH and Professor Emeritus at ETH-Zurich, previously Professor of Nucl. Eng at UC Berkeley, USA. Active researcher and member of several international committees specialised in nuclearsafety. Djamel Lakehal is CEO of ASCOMP GmbH. He obtained his PhD in CFD from Ecole Centrale of Nantes, France. He spent 4 years of research at the Univ. of Karlsruhe (Prof. Rodi) & TU-Berlin (Prof. Thiele), and 7 years at ETH Zurich as Group Leader (CFD & CMFD) and Senior Lecturer. Chidambaram Narayanan is the head of development at ASCOMP GmbH. Titular of an MS from Iowa State US (Prof. Pletcher), and PhD from ETH Zurich (Prof. Yadigaroglu). Expert in CFD & CMFD, he worked formerly at Combustion Research & Flow Technology Inc., Dublin, PA, USA. |
Our philosophy is to bring science and technology close to each other |

History
ASCOMP was founded in 2003 as a spin-off company of ETH Zurich by members of the Computational Multi-Fluid Flow Group (CMFG), which was created in 1998 by Dr. Dr. Lakehal and Prof. Yadigaroglu within the Nuclear Engineering Laboratory. The research activities of CMFG were centred on the numerical modelling and simulation of multiphase flows and heat transfer for nuclear and conventional power plant technology and safety |
