Additional Information on Short Course There is absolutely no parking near ETH and there is no free, long-term parking in the city. Orientation near and at ETHZ Hotels: Leoneck (Leonhardstrasse 1): Take tram to station Haldenegg (two stops): take from station Bahnhofstrasse/HB Tram 6 (direction Zoo), or Tram 7 (direction Stettbach), or from station Bahnhofplatz/HB Tram 10 (direction Oerlikon) Meals: Can be taken in the nearby ETH cafeterias (nearest are the main Mensa, the FoodLab in CAB building, the Tannenbar, etc) or in nearby numerous restaurants. Information on the dining facilities can be obtained here. The locations of the ETH facilities are given on the map Lecture Halls:

All hotels listed in the Hotel Registration Form are within 5 to 10 min walking distance from the main rail station and/or ETH.
To reach them you may also take from Hauptbahnhof several trams, as indicated below.
Limmathof ((Limmatquai 142): Take tram to station Central (one stop) - see below.
Rex (Weinbergsstrasse 92): Take from station Bahnhofstsrasse/HB Tram 7 (direction Stettbach) to Ottikerstrasse (four stops).
St. Josef (Hirschengraben 64/68): Take tram to station Central (one stop) - see below.
Zürcherhof (Zähringerstrasse 21): Take tram to station Central (one stop) - see below.
To get to station Central: take from station Bahnhofplatz/HB Tram 3 (direction Klusplatz), or Tram 4 (direction Tiefenbrunnen), or Tram 10 (direction Oerlikon), or Bus 31 (direction Hegibachplatz)

The lectures will be given in the D Floor of the Main Building, (Hauptgebäude, HG) of the downtown campus (ETH-Zentrum) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). Posters near the ETH entrances will direct you to the Auditoria. You may take from Central trams 6 and 10 to ETH/Universitätsspital or the Polybahn, a small cable car (faster, more fun). Plans of the building can be found near the entrances.

· D 3.2 For Part IIA (Thursday and Friday)
Registation: Monday and Thursday, 8:30 to 9:00 in front of Auditorium D1.2. Please do not register the last minute.

A cocktail reception is scheduled for Monday, after the lectures, in the "Dozentenfoyer" (faculty club) at the top of the Main Building (Hauptgebäude) (HG Floor J). Persons accompanying the participants are of course also invited.
The CD containing the extensive Lecture Notes, copies of the Powerpoint handouts and other course materials will be distributed at the registration desk, together with hard copies of the handouts to be used in class.
The preparatory tutorial text for Part I and the Tutorial material for Parts IIA and IIB will be e-mailed to the participants shortly after confirmation of their registration.
